Kemeneth – Heritage Festival

Michelle and Becca formed 2/5 of the community partnership that spearheaded this community heritage festival.

Our involvement was to lead on the community arts and puppetry workshops for the main processional Parade that walked through the town of historic Penryn.

Together we devised the historic narrative of the parade, designed the prototypes of the willow puppet workshops and engaged with the various community groups and organisation’s to take part in the parade.

We worked with a variety of community groups and schools to create devise the theme of the parade, leading on the historic story led narrative and to design the willow puppets, banners and costumes as part of the processional parade.

We acted as workshop facilitators as well as festival organisers.

Festivals took place in 2016 + 2017 with on going community workshops to date.
